EXAMPLE 5: Solved Oil Leak Problem
This Admiral Double L mixing head was taken out of production when hydraulic oil began leaking from its nozzle. The cleanout piston and one of the pour pistons were scored.
What we did:
- Disassembled, cleaned and inspected this mix head, as well as a second Admiral mix head that could not be repaired.
- Manufactured new cleanout and pour pistons.
- Reassembled the mix head, using the new pistons, new seals, and parts from the second mix head.
- Hydraulically tested the mixhead to ensure that the new seals held pressure and that the pistons operated correctly without oil leakage.
