PPI Debuts Global Offering at UTECH North America 2007

September 23, 2007. ORLANDO, FLA. - UTECH North America 2007 marks the debut of Polyurethane Process Industries as a global supplier of low-cost, high-quality urethane equipment, parts, repairs, technical service, and processing expertise.

Through its newly expanded technical support network, PPI now offers processors in South America, China and Southeast Asia the same access to low-cost products and knowledgeable service technicians that PPI’s North American customers have enjoyed since the company’s founding in 2004.

PPI’s exhibit at UTECH North America will emphasize how polyurethane processors “get more and pay less” because of the company’s responsive customer service, competitive pricing, quality products and repairs, and extensive knowledge of polyurethane processing and equipment.

At UTECH North America, PPI also will help introduce Mexico’s first mobile maintenance shop for polyurethane equipment. The fully equipped, testing and repair shop is operated by TecnaPol Industrial S.A. de C.V., the PPI technical support affiliate in Mexico. The mobile shop offers test stands for mix heads, metering pumps and electric pumps, as well as all of the parts and tools required to perform full semi-annual or annual equipment maintenance at a customer’s plant.

“The mobile shop will help customers whose maintenance personnel do not have the time or knowledge to reduce or eliminate costs with effective preventive maintenance,” said Luis E. Segura, CEO of TecnaPol Industrial.

Besides on-site service and equipment training, PPI’s expanded product and service offering includes:

  • Polyurethane process improvement consulting. More than two decades experience working with a wide range of urethane applications and different equipment manufacturers positions PPI as a knowledgeable and impartial adviser when selecting the best combination of equipment and raw materials to achieve efficient, reliable production.
  • New high-pressure mix heads and metering machines. Cost and quality are the primary benefits of PPI’s new equipment lines, which cost significantly less than machinery of similar quality made by the industry’s leading manufacturers.
  • Equipment modification and upgrades. Besides metering pump and mix head rebuilding services, PPI offers everything from magnetic coupling conversions to complete retrofits of existing metering machines, either on site or in the company’s shop. PPI also supplies polyol-processing modules that enable some existing metering machines to meet the safety and environmental requirements of processing with hydrocarbon blowing agents.

“You don’t always have to spend a lot of money on new equipment to improve production and profits,” said Mark Clark, who worked for urethane equipment manufacturers Cannon and Hennecke Machinery before founding PPI.

“We can show how relatively small investments in equipment maintenance, improved training or modification of existing equipment can pay big dividends,” Clark said. “Frequently, we help processors avoid large capital expenditures or reduce maintenance costs and downtime by modifying or upgrading existing equipment.”

During the show, Clark and TecnaPol Industrial representatives will be available in Booth #331 to:

  • Provide advice on modifying or upgrading existing polyurethane equipment to overcome production challenges or meet new processing requirements.
  • Discuss how polyurethane manufacturers can save money with reconditioned used equipment.
  • Discuss what processors should look for when selecting mix head or pump repair services.
